Mainstream's thermal control programs include the research, development
and manufacture of advanced heating and cooling systems as well as components
for those systems. Passive systems include nanotube enhanced heat
exchangers and phase change materials. Active systems include both
single-phase and two-phase systems in both open-loop and closed-loop configurations. Thermal components include compressors, heat
exchangers, and controls. Current research is being performed for
NASA and DOD for terrestrial, airborne, and space-based environments.
