O2 Solvent

Mainstream performed advanced testing of these O2 second-generation solvent replacements that are used for cleaning hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon residues from oxygen systems. Our researchers are in the process of spinning off this technology to expand our commercial QwikProducts™ product line in the HVAC&R industry.

The cost of the recommended solvent replacement was less than the Air Force cost goal. Thus, this program was a tremendous success and resulted in the development of a suitable CFC-113 replacement solvent that is ready for use in both commercial and military applications.
