Mainstream's thermal control programs include the research, development and manufacture of advanced heating and cooling systems as well as components for those systems. Passive systems include nanotube-enhanced heat exchangers and phase change materials. Active systems include both single-phase and two-phase systems in both open-loop and closed-loop configurations. Thermal components include compressors, heat exchangers, and controls. Current research is being performed for NASA and DOD for terrestrial, airborne, and space-based environments.
