HECU 30 Caliber Bullet Puncture VideoWe charged a condenser with saturated propane refrigerant and shot four 30 caliber, 150 grain bullets into this charged condenser. No additional bullets were fired into the condenser, since all of the propane refrigerant had escaped by the time the fourth bullet hit the condenser. The bullets easily pierced the copper walled tubes contained in the aluminum fined heat exchanger. Three bullets grazed the tubes of the condenser allowing the propane refrigerant to slowly leak from the system, while the fourth bullet completely sheared the tubing resulting in a sudden cloud of propane to be exhausted.
