CREW COOLING SYSTEM QC-2000

Cooling System for the Operator of M9 ACE

The QC-2000 cooling system is designed to cool the operator of an M9 ACE vehicle when exposed to high-temperature conditions. High ambient temperatures in the crew compartment can cause heat stress and other physiological problems, resulting in shortened use durations and lowered performance. The QC-2000 chills the water that is circulated through a cooling garment worn by the crew member (the garment can be worn under the MOPP IV NBC protective suit). The cooling system is designed to run off the vehicle's DC electrical power and can withstand shock, vibration and other conditions typical to these vehicles.
