Mainstream's military product lines include Refrigeration Units (RUs) for Shipping Containers, Environmental Control Units (ECUs) for Military Shelters, and Diesel-Powered Electric Generators.

B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
GPA > 3.3
Willing to relocate to Rockledge, FL area

Mainstream is seeking a Product Development Program Manager to:

Develop and execute programs for military and commercial products to achieve customer satisfaction, completion of major milestones, and adherence to budget.
Coordinate Research and Development engineers to design and develop new products from project inception to production.
Create and monitor program development schedules and milestones.
Develop resource requirements for new programs.
Create and monitor product development KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Support development of proposals for new products.
Perform risk assessment and mitigation activities on designs and suppliers based on safety, productivity, quality and cost minimization.
Confirm manufacturability of new product concepts and structures (DFM) and train Engineers for DFM.
Perform make vs. buy assessments on product components and structures.
Create and implement process plans for production.
Multi-task across simultaneous projects.
Document design methodology and create Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Plan, execute and document verification of performance and acceptance.
Develop customer relations as primary point of contact for program.
Benchmark industry standards for new products and technologies.

Minimum requirements include:

Demonstrated experience in new product development of military or commercial electro-mechanical systems (must have developed at least 2 products for military/commercial markets from concept to production).
Minimum of 3 years experience in product development, pre-production engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, requirements and related process tolerances, cost, and lead times.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Understanding of Configuration Management System (CMS) and requirements.
Knowledge of Engineering materials and related fabrication, cost, strength and new trends.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3-D modeling software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project.
Experience in testing systems to Military (ie. MIL-STD-810) and commercial standards.
Experience in working in a Lean/Six-Sigma environment (Green belt certification) is a plus.

Project Management Certification is a plus.
