Mainstream Engineering Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the development of new commercial energy conversion and thermal control products.

Essential Contribution and Competencies

Mainstream Engineering Corporation has an excellent opportunity for a full time Industrial Engineer to support the development of new energy conversion, thermal control, and refrigeration system products. This is a new position recently created to assist in transitioning complex assemblies from R&D to product release. You will play a critical role in ensuring a successful product rollout. You must be self-motivated and able to work well with engineering teams, manufacturing, and suppliers. Experience in electrical specifications, mechanical tolerances, GDT, and six sigma/lean manufacturing are preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of manufacturing processes including but not limited to injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal operations, and welding.

Specific Duties and Competencies:

Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) studies on R&D Engineering designs.
Create and implement process plans for production and quality of products.
Review detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for accuracy and tolerances.
Perform make-vs-buy studies of product components.
Assist in Facility Layout Design and Planning
Specify, procure, and install equipment and tooling for manufacture and quality control of product.
Measure, analyze and countermeasure quality of production and suppliers.
Create production test plans and procedures to test products to Military and/or Mainstream Specifications.
Create standardized work procedures for product assembly and train assemblers for production of products.
Support low volume production to verify achievement of process plans and targets for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost.
Adhere to project schedules and budgets for development of new products.
Reduce investment through innovative ideas and technology.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.

Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent).
Minimum GPA 3.3, No Ds or Fs on transcripts.
3-5 Years experience preferred
U.S. Citizen

This position is located in Rockledge, Florida. Willingness to relocate to the area is required.
