Essential Contribution and Competencies
The Digital Hardware Engineer will play a critical role in developing electronics products related to thermal control and energy conversion. A successful candidate will provide innovative engineering in the design and layout of PCBs, programming of microcontrollers, design and implementation of analog circuitry and power supplies, and testing. This position has a dual reporting relationship to R&D and Manufacturing.
Specific Duties and Competencies :
- Perform PCB Layout (specializing in high power boards)
- Program microcontrollers
- Perform analog circuitry design and layout for sensors
- Perform endurance testing
- Design wire harnesses
- Perform product development related to the areas of thermal control and energy conversion
- Assist with transition of research and development projects to production, including: fabrication drawings, schematics, work instructions, quality control
Education and Experience:
- BS in electrical engineering required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical engineering required
- Proficient in Altium (or equivalent software)
- Knowledgeable of basic power supplies
- Knowledgeable of available electronic components and how to vet them for various applications
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes
- Interest in a product development environment
- Capable and interested in working in a hands-on testing laboratory
- United States Citizen

This position is located in Rockledge, Florida. Willingness to relocate to the area is required.
